As a nonprofit organization, the Lowcountry Senior Center needs and welcomes your support. There are many ways to support our work, including your membership and active participation in LSC classes and events.
Volunteering is also a wonderful and meaningful way to support our work.
For those who wish to support us financially, we welcome your gifts at any level. Donors may contribute to:
Friends of the Lowcountry Senior Center
The Friends of the Lowcountry Senior Center, a 501(c)3 organization, is the fundraising arm of the center. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law and go to support program and capital projects of the center.
Annual Giving Campaign
The Lowcountry Senior Center’s membership fees cover only twenty percent of the center’s operating costs. The Friends of the Lowcountry Senior Center inaugurated the Annual Giving Campaign (AGC) to help meet this funding gap and keep the cost of memberships low. For those giving at the $1000 level or higher, in addition to becoming a Friend, you will also become a member of the prestigious Roper Xavier Society through Roper St. Francis Foundation. To join this elite society, payment must be made payable to Roper St. Francis Foundation and write “for Lowcountry Senior Center” in the check memo line.
As a member of the Roper Xavier Society, you will receive an invitation to the Roper Xavier Society Annual Donor Recognition Gala. This world-class affair, open only to Society members, features nationally-recognized speakers (past speakers include Sarah Ferguson, Tom Brokaw, Bob Woodruff and Colin Powell).
